In the U.S., we create a lot of confusion between culture and complexion/genetics.
"Mexican," for example, is cultural: Among Mexican nationals are those who are genetically white, Indian, white/Indian, etc.
If we start with "black" as an example of a genetic perspective, we've got those who are culturally American, Dominican, Cuban, Brazilian, French, British, Nigerian, Ethiopian, Canadian, etc.
It is you who decides how you wish to identify yourself.

well as a mom who is white i;m married to a mexican and we have 4 kids people ask my kids the same question [what race are you?]i tell my children they are unique beautiful and full of culture.you are lucky to be able to celebrate and belong to so many cultures. be youself because you are who you are .angel
