If you have an 80's style sweater dress and skinny jeans, with a sexy pair of boots... That will look very magazine model-ish...
If its a little warmer where you live... wear a dark denim skirt (minis are hot) with leggings and a hot pair of heels...Top it off with a really nice kimono/ empire waisted flowy top and a bolero. A long necklace if your wearing the kimono top will be hot. If you are a tall girl, you can wear ballet flats instead.

a bright collared striped dress shirt (like the kind guys wear but1made4 girls that is fitted) a light colored cute v-neck sweater vest over the shirt (like1 from forever 21) a short skirt w/ neutral colored leggings (so u wont get cold) a scarf around ur hair (very preppy) and ballet flats
dont button all the buttons on the shirt and push ur sleeves up and wear sum bright accessories like neon colored hoop earrings and those mega sized plastic bracelets

a long tee with a cropped jacket over it, balance that with tailored flared jeans, and ballat flats, and a couple braclets to finish it off
