if you get tapped with one hand then you are OUT of the game. Like sit and watch your friends play for 30 minutes because you are OUT completely??? I have never heard this rule and I am 24 years old. I was playing against 18 year olds, so I was wondering if this was some kind of new rule and if anyone else plays like that???

Edit - Oh what about getting tapped on an air ball and you are out too?? Heard of that one?

Edit - yes I meant they take your missed shot and tap it back into the basket with 1 hand.

no, the rule for one handed tips is you get the player you tipped's points as well + the 2 points for the basket

you can have it where a certain number of tips get you out of the game and it is widely practiced but all variations have to be discussed BEFORE the game

you got played dude

The way you worded the question is confusing. Do you mean with one hand they tap your missed shot back into the goal? I'm also 24 and this is the way I played. If they tap your shot back into the goal with two hands while they are in the air then your score goes back down to 0 if it was under 13, or it goes down to 13 if it was higher. If they tap your missed shot in with one hand while in the air then you're out. This is one way it is played, at least. Usually, though, you have to get tipped 3 times before you're out.

If you mean a put back on a missed shot, then I have heard of this rule. I play with my friends all the time. We call it tip-in but if you have less than or 14 points you go down to 0 but if you 15 or more you go down to 15. And if you dont have any points at all thats when you sit down.

The only time I've seen anybody out is if they get tipped when they have zero points already, but if someone else has the same thing happen they're out and you're back in. I play 21 all the time and never hear of the rule you stated above.

Well right now i'm a freshman. I wish I was on the team, but I don't think I'm ready. But hopefully when I join my sophomore year I'll be on either the JV or varsity team. Hope your sister's hand gets better!

i think you got fooled....maybe they didn't want to play with you. lol. nobody gets kicked out of 21. hahaha im not quite sure what you mean by getting tapped with one hand...but as far as i know, there's no rule about kicking you out of the game.

oh,and when you shoot an airball on your first shot, you merely forfeit the 2nd shot..

i have played tip 21 where if your shot gets tipped in you go back to zero or sometimes you go back to the lowest players score. i have also played where you do go out after the third time your shot gets tipped
