Anyone experiencing any postal delays (USPS and/or Canada Post) in the past month or so? I bought three things between January 15th to 17th and I still haven't gotten a single item yet. One of them told me a week later that he forgot to send it and told me that he had sent it on the 23rd (whatever, he's human, and human beings make mistakes). My plan is to contact the other two sellers tomorrow if neither items shows up in my mailbox. Am I doing the correct thing here, or should I wait a little longer? Do I have any other options that won't result in filing a dispute?

Hmmm.....I don't think it's a dishonesty problem. One of them is a power seller with a store, and the other has perfect feedback.

Transit time would depend on whether you purchased from the U.S, overseas, or Canada.
If the items are mailed in Canada, and were sent on Jan 23rd, and you are from Canada, I would say you should have received them by now.
On the other hand, If you ordered items from outside Canada, it is impossible to estimate a delivery time, simply because customs is sooooo unpredicable. Once I got a package from L.A California, to here in Winnipeg Manitoba in just 6 days!
Another time, one of my packages was coming from Flint Michigan (much closer to me), and it took 11 days to arrive. So it all depends how hung over the customs dudes are when your package go through.
If you don't get either of them soon, I would demand a tracking number, or some other verification it was sent.
Have no worry though, if you payed with PayPal, either way the dispute will be in your favour because the seller sent you an item without you having a confirmed address. Also, if the seller cannot provide a tracking number to you or PayPal, PayPal will automatically rule in your favour.

No, not too much of a delay shipping to Canada. Just a few days. The usual! LOL!
Yes, there are other options - communication!
You don't want to wait too long to resolve this matter as there are time frames to apply for help for resolution if they will not ship to you.
OK, forgive the forgetful one, shoot off a nice e-mail a reminder to get that package out posthaste, please and thank you kindly.
Fire off an e-mail to the other two sellers inquiring about the packages and ask when/if it was sent, is there a problem, tracking numbers, etc. Request an immediate response. If you don't get an immediate response, wait a few days then....
Contact whomever has not responded to you via e-mail by using the eBay contact the Seller Procedure by filling out the form. Provide the User ID of the Seller and the Item Number of the auction you paid for. eBay will then e-mail you the complete contact information, Name, Address, Phone Number to you and will also give them yours that they have on file.

Call them during business hours "9:00 AM - 5:00 PM" first if you see that they are a business by the information that you are given. If they are a individual, I'd still try them during business hours. If you have to try calling them later in the day, don't call after 8:00 PM or earlier than 9:00 AM. Don't leave a message, either way as you want to speak with them directly at this point. You don't want to play phone tag.
If you don't want to call, send a CERTIFIED, SIGNATURE REQUIRED letter to them stating your issue and requesting an immedate resolution. Make a copy (at least 2) as you will have to send one to eBay's Resolution team.
When you do contact them, please use common sense and good business decorum. State your case factually, try to stay calm and not get angry or upset. Document what was said, and any action that is or is not going to be done, etc. Make a request for a refund or whatever you want to have happen to resolve the problem if necessary at this time.
If whoever will not cooperate, then you will have to file a Item Not Received dispute, which I know that you did not want to do, but it IS the Seller's responsibilty to respond to you by:
1. Sending you the merchandise you paid for.
2. Responding to e-mails that you sent
3. When contacted by phone, or mail, resolving problems when confronted.

Since around Christmas time, several items I've sent to ebay customers have been very slow getting there -- 2-3 weeks for 1st class domestic shipments that should have arrived in 2-3 days. On a positive note, though, in 34 years in business -- the past 4 using ebay for part of it -- the postal serivce has never lost a domestic package and only 2 overseas packages. So if you're sure the seller is reputable,. hang in there!

Report the seller to ebay. If you get nowhere give them bad feedback. This may result in them also giving you bad feedback. This is what I hate the most about ebay.I am a seller and sometimes I also buy things. There are some dishonest people on ebay but for the most part I havent had very many problems.
