Over the last two seasons, the creators of Lost have developed several intriguing mysteries. What is the significance of the island? Why have so many characters crossed paths before getting on the plane? Who is the Dharma Initiative and why are they on the island? Why was Locke in a wheelchair? These and hundreds of other questions have dogged viewers, and now the creators are saying the next 16 episodes will provide us with several answers. Which one do YOU want to see answered above all others? I am the author of the book "Finding Lost: The Unofficial Guide" (ECW Press, 2007), and am currently working on the season 3 instalment of the book to be released in October 2007. I previously wrote books on Buffy, Angel, Alias, and Xena. Despite what some critics have said, I think Lost has maintained the same high quality right from the beginning, and I eagerly await each new episode. My blog is at http://nikkistafford.blogspot.com, where I regularly blog on several TV shows.

It would be too easy to say "everything"! LOST has (or seems to have) created its own sub-culture, especially within academia. There are those students who despise it and then, there are the FANS...
The notion that the program is made up 'on-the-spot', i.e. the notion that even the cast are 'kept in suspenders' from one episode to the next is, perhaps, its greatest asset.
Everything about the 'mini-dramas' contained yet unrestrained within each episode of LOST always raises questions about same. My daughter, an addict of BUFFY, ANGEL and ALIAS, refuses to look-up any advance information re LOST. Living in Oz, we are always a couple of episodes behind the States (or, more particularly, several seasons behind some shows!) and Sarah has always looked for advance information re her favourites. Except for LOST. She wants to be surprised by every episode: indeed, if I've gleaned some information about forthcoming episodes, she 'sticks her fingers in her ears' and refuses to listen.
I stress that this behaviour is unique! An intelligent and inquiring mind, who always 'wants to know what's coming', refuses intel or, indeed, any input (!) about episodes-to-come.
And this, perhaps, indicates (at least for me) the attraction of LOST: there is a sense of uncertainty. The writers are quite capable of 'writing-out' central characters from one episode to the next.
Your thoughts, Nikki?
Regards,
Paul

I'm curious as to how the writers keep track of how the story is going and how they are able to remember so many sub plots! There are a few issues that haven't really been dealt with..I guess the monster thing is kinda well...stupid so I dont know if theyre going to really go into that.
The scene from the last ep of season 2 i think also showed at the start some guys in the arctic or w/e and they detected some magnetic field? I was thinking maybe that had something to do with the polar bear but I have no idea how that fits into place.
Also the fact that all the people's lives seem to have been connected before the crash somehow, with the numbers was weird...I'm thinking maybe all this is someone's dream or somehow a government organization of sorts. All in all too many questions to list - I honestly hope they clear up some stuff soon coz it is getting REALLY frustrating!

Hi! I love LOST! There are many perplexing questions in LOST. Who are the Others? Why are they there? Why have so many crossed paths so many times? Is this all a dream? A hallucination? Why are they (Kate, Sawyer & Jack) being held in a zoo / aquarium? Is this where the polar bear came from? Was the zoo/aquarium part of the Dharma Initiative? Why is it set in the only grassy area surrounded by tropical jungle? Can they really leave? Did Michael & Walt actually leave? If so did they get rescued? If so why hasen't anyone rescued them? And why didn't the woman who owned the boat come and rescue them after she heard the signal on her radio at the end of the last episode of season 2? ......and many many many more as of yet unanswered questions.
Okay, so I guess there are a lot of questions that I would like answers for. But I am willing to wait for the story to unfold as it will. I can't wait to watch LOST tonight. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I know I will!! Have a great night everyone!

I was an avid Lost fan and watched it every week. Then it suddenly became really slow, and it bored me from week to week. Now it is picking up again and I can't wait for tonight's episode to find out what happens. I want to know who the other's are and how they got there, and how they know what is going on in the outside world. Where do they get there supplies from. I want to know if Kate will be with Jack (I really want them together) I want to know what the Dharma Initiative is? How they crashed on that particular island and why no one has come to their rescue? Why some of the characters are connected in some way? What really happens when the numbers are not punched into the computer? I have way to many questions to have answered right now, but I do hope that all my questions are answered in the next 16 episodes.

I am dying for tomorrow to come, for all those who forget (although I don't know how you can) there is an episode before the premiere tomorrow that is supposed to reveal some more secrets and show more of the lives of the survivors. The one thing I want answered is why are these "others" on this island if they have so many provisions they must have access to the outside world and what would actually happen if the code is not entered into the computer.

This is what I've learnt and question thus far..after ep1 S3
Jack is locked up in an underwater fish tank that is used to hold sharks.
- Shark seen with Dharma symbol near the end of S1.
Sawyer is in a bear cage.
- Sawyer shot a Polar Bear in S1
Kate was showered and handcuffed to have b/fast with Ben. Then placed in the cell opposite Sawyer.
- Ben warned that the next two weeks in the camp will be hell.
What type of hell is he going to create.
Jin and Sun remained on a sailing boat at the end of S2.
Are they still on the boat sailing around the island?
Siad was scoping the others so called camp and found nothing?
Is he still out there?
When the plane crashed on the island Ben (formerly known as Henry Gale until caught) informed two men to become part of the lost group and find out what they could about them.
Why?
Having said that how do you think Ben and crew know so much about Jack? And my guess is that they took Jack's fathers body to perform the autopsy.
Explains why Jacks' fathers body went missing.
Also....
S2 ended with two guys freezing their asses off in the Antartic to wait for an eruption...and it happened.
So is Des's girlfriend is coming?
And what about the other losties on the otherside of the island what about them?
But the big thing I would like to know is whywas libby in the mental hospital?
----
For those who don't know walt has phsycic ability, this is why he was taken. He's special. With his ability he can make real things come to life. ie polar bear out of the comic book.

I would like to know
* Does Kate hook up with Sawyer?
* Does Ben change as a result of the surgery Jack performs on him
* Why does the lady who let Kate and Sawyer go, suddently change her mind and threaten to kill them?
* Do they ever find Walt or is he dead?
* Why do they keep taking the kids?
* Why haven't any planes gone over trying to find them?
* Polar bears? On a tropical Island?
* What is that black cloud thing?
* Who is Desmond really?
* How is it that Locke can walk again?
* Will Sun have her baby on the Island?
* Why did Hurly blow up the locker with the supplies in it? They could all use that stuff? And why don't they move into the locker instead of hanging out on the beach? They could just post sentries to look out for rescue aircraft.
Hmmmm.......that's all I can think of for now.

I'd like to know if the show is going to turn out to be a huge hallucination of sorts - alternate reality mindset, due to the strangeness of the incidents - polar bears on a tropical island, Locke suddenly being able to walk, etc. How did so many survive the crash .... I haven't been watching the show, but have the two seasons on DVD - haven't decided whether to not watch Season 3 and just wait until it comes out on DVD or have a LOST weekend of sorts.

Who are the people inthe Arctic that we saw for 30 sec.s at the end of last season???? And why has the show basically 'forgotten' about them.
How come so much emphasis was put on Claire & her baby in season 1 and into season 2 somewhat and now they too are just another character - almost like an 'extra' inthe show.
Why do the 'others' want the children so badly?

I have so many questions that I have a hard time narrowing it down. This series needs to tie up some loose ends in a big way, IMO. That being said, I'd like to know the significance of why The Others want the children, ie Walt and Claire's baby Aaron.
And yeah, who does Kate really want? LOL!
