I'm seeing like people talking of 1GB of Ram. I was asking someone telling them I want to get new memory cards to have my PC run 512 of ram But I see people telling me to go for a 1GB of Rem. What is the deal with 1GB of ram is it butter or is getting 512 of ram butter..
Sorry I'm not asking this the right way but don't know a way more to ask thing..

512 MB is 1/2 the speed of 1 GB

Notice MB are much smaller than GB.

The larger the number the faster your system will run. However notice that a GB will always be bigger than MB.

Most systems come standard with 1 GB of RAM. I personally have 2 GB.

Before you even consider upgrading to 1GB be sure that your computer will accept that much ram. Than it just a matter of popping your old ram chips and replace them with bigger ones. This will boost up your response time in how your computer reacts to programs.
