Where is a good place for me and my friends to go on Friday night for a drink on the way home from work? Want to be able to talk, so not too loud and be comfortable to hang out at. Need good drinks too.
We can also go to the Grapevine Mills area or maybe Lewisville, but no farther away than that from Grapevine as we are coming from all over and need a central place to meet.

"Wilhoite's" on Main Street is very loud. It is also more of a "Biker" bar. Their food and drinks are good, but if you want to be able to talk, this is not the place.

I would recommend "Lazy Bones" 120 E Worth St., Grapevine, TX 76051. They are located one block off main street and they are next doors to Esparza's.

They always have the game on, what ever game it is you want to see, NCAA Basketball, NFL, MBL, NBA, NHL or NCAA Football.

The owner is a Texas A&M Aggie, but we will not hold it against him.

They have great food and drinks and the place is not to loud, you can hold a nice conversation or just sit and watch the game.

Wilhoite's is NOT A BIKER BAR. Yes, there is a Harley Davidson store on the same street, but to make it sound like something from the movie "Stone Cold" is untrue and totally over dramatized. Sure, every now and then, on SUNDAYS(not Happy Hour), 5 or 6 LEISURE RIDERS will meet up there to have lunch. One of them is the President of a local bank, so it's HARDLY A BIKER BAR.

I hope you and your friends give it a try, you will see for yourself why it's a Grapevine Favorite and been in business for 30 years.

Wilhoites is a "Biker Bar" - and it is fairly loud. Granted most of the bikers are an older, more settled crowd and its not the typical "drink and get rowdy" type place. It's often very crowded because its a fun place for the 'not so much 30 something, but a little older" crowd and they do have decent food, beer and drinks. And its a fun place to see a variety of cool bikes - if you're into that kind of stuff.

The best place for Happy Hour is a place called "Wilhoite's" on Main Street. Great bartenders, awesome jukebox and tons of really cool artifacts throughout the bar. It was a gas station back in the 30's. Has great food and a pool table on the second floor that overlooks the entire bar. Great place to watch sporting events as well.

Go to Esparza's in downtown Grapevine. It's a fun place and they have great margaritas.

This is a place my friend owns on Grapevine Lake, actually Flower Mound, I think. I have not been there but he was my roommate for years and I know if he owns this it must be good.
It may not be what you are looking for but I know it would be a safe place. Good luck.

I would say either Esparza's or Wilhoite's. "Biker Bar"?? That's a bit of a stretch, but were all entitled to our opinions.
