Do you have any dignity and self respect in your bones? Since you became this little girl's father, it is your responsibility to care for her. Do you think just because the mother is giving you a waiver, the state is going to give you one? YOU ARE SO WRONG! The only way you are not responsible is when the state pulls your rights as a parent. No other time is it right for you to give her up. If you have the money to pay that child support then you should or make payment arrangements to pay the back and start paying on the recent payments. Is she old enough to know what is going on? Whether or not she is, you will have your hands full when the time comes. She will find out who you are and what you did and then you have to answer those questions. No one else can or should. She may forgive you or may not. That will be her choice.

I can not beleive there are people that would agree with this. I would never give up my rights to my kids regardless of how much money I owe. They allow you to make payments for child support...so what is the deal? Do you know how much your child will resent you for this action?

UMMM you better be careful on this one. If she has EVER received assistance through the state such as cash assistance the state can com back without her permission and collect on the tax payers behalf. It happens all the time.

I am in this boat, don't do it. Your child may never forgive you, and it is almost impossible, to get them back.
