Male with Male is a NO,NO ! They will kill each other or one . Female Betta's will fight to but not as bad as the males . You can put a Male with a Female and they will mate, fight a little but they will be fine . The male blows bubbles at the top of the tank and you will know when he is ready to squeeze her for her eggs . It is best to keep a divider between them for about two weeks so they can tease each other and then they will be ready . If you do not want them to mate do not put them together .

Yes, beta's are siamese fighting fish. And no, you cannot put more than one male in a bowl or tank without them fighting. They are HIGHLY territorial If you wish to put a male and a (very drab) female in the same tank, make sure it is at LEAST a 15 gallon tank. Even then, you need to watch it.

I will say, if you decide to put a male and female together, and they breed, it is pretty neat. The male makes a nest of bubbles for the eggs, and then he guards them from everyone and everything until they hatch.

Yes they are fighting fish. Beta fish are made to be by alone. There are a few groups of fish the can good with. But two beta don't belong together. (Just to be clear I am talking about the male beta fish. Which are the prettier one. I am not sute about the female beta fish.)

They are one and the same.

You can have more then one female in a tank, but not more than one male. They will kill each other. Even more then one female could be a problem

Please do not put them in a small "betta house". That is cruel. They need a little room. Just because they can live in something doesn't mean they should

betta are siamese fighting fish. you can keep females together just fine. not the males or combinations of them unless it is breeding season and then it is only recommended if you are a seasoned breeder. females aren't as pretty and they are harder to find but if you want more than one that is the way that you'll have to go.

they need separate bowls get smaller ones where they can see each other and you can watch what you would miss If they were together, very entertaining.
