Yeah...well the Suns look like the Mavs under Nellie. LEARN TO PLAY DEFENSE.

The Suns record is inflated. They have played more weak eastern teams than the mavs and they still have a worse record. They got a good taste of the West and were beat 2/3 games last week. The Suns dont get to play the Mavs until March, when both teams will be around the 45-50 win area.

The Suns cant beat the Mavs or the Jazz. Does D'Antoni think he might manuever past these teams in the playoffs? No! these teams have the Suns down pat, and I would like to see a team without defense last 7 games, because against these 2 teams they certainly wont get it done in 6.

To answer the question: Mavs. Coach of the year: Avery. No other team is has a better record against real contenders.

Definitely the Phoenix Suns. When you look at the Suns, you see a solid starting 5 featuring Shawn Marion who averages 30 a game, Steve Nash who is Reigning MVP. Who also averages a double double. Also they have Amare Stoudemire who is fresh off an injury and is looking to make a statement and has. That's just to name a few. Now take a look at there bench. They have Leadro Barbosa who averages 20 a game, Raja Bell who averages 15. Now take a look at what they have done this seaon. They currently hold the best record in the league 38-10. And they have been on 2 win streaks of more then 15 games. Pretty impressive I would say.

If you look at their records the answer is obvious. The Mavs are the best team in basketball followed by the Suns. The rest of the teams are just runners-up. And that is just the teams in the west. The east has not got a team to even compare to the Suns or the Mavs.

I know the Suns and Mavs are the standard response, but I'd give the Pistons some credit, now that they have Webber, and with Billups healthy again, they are dominating the East, and may pose a championship threat to the West conferance teams.

the Pheonix Suns hands down. No other team passes the ball and gets everyone involved like hte Suns do. The Suns have a tema with much talent and they utilize that to their advantage. Steve Nash is by far the best point guard in the game but unlike others he doesnt lead the league in pionts scored, but assists. Nash is averaging 12 assists per game. With a guard dishing the ball out like he does is opens up their offense and allows them to attack from all cylinders. Try to find a team as sufficient as them, i dare you to.

Phoenix. They are stacked. They have:
Power: Amare
Rebounding Talent: Marion
MVP/ Team Leader: Nash
Young Potential: Diaw, Barbosa
Veteran Bench Players: Kurt Thomas, Raja Bell

They are the best, but they need to put it together to win for a change.

The Suns and Mavs. They're my picks for 2007 NBA Champs. I know that one of them will go all the way.
