Does anyone know of a fantasy sports league that forces all free agents to stay on waivers all season? This means you don't have to be first to the trigger to play fairly.

Thanks for the answers. No, I'm not confused. The reason for this is crystal clear when you take an example, like a new closer is announced. The person who gets up at 8am and checks the sports section shouldn't necessarily get that new closer just b/c he got up 30 minutes earlier than the next guy. That's why I want everyone on waivers, or at least some form of bidding system, for a pickup, for the whole year.

I know that when you set up a league in Yahoo! you can choose how long players stay on waivers, but I am not positive if the remainder of the year is an option.

In the past you could set your waiver period for 1, 2 or 3 days. After that everyone becomes a free agent. I think you may be a little confused cause you don't really want everyone to always be on waivers. Players that are dropped or added to the game are placed on waivers, this way whomever has the best waiver priority number has first shot, after they pick there waiver number will drop so next time some one else that hasn't picked up has first shot - plenty fair. Once a player clears waivers he should be able to be picked up by anyone cause everyone had a shot to pick him up while on waivers.

espn football puts all players on waivers at kickoff time of their game each week. they stay on waivers for 48 hours after the last game of the week. waiver order is inverse order of standings.

It's the commish's option. I would do at least an one day waiver in any league I was the commish
