The kind of teacher that knows how to spell is a good start. They must be dedicated in really wanting to teach and not let kids "fall through the cracks". Too many teachers today just don't care.

As a teacher, I think it is important to not only teach the content, but to let kids know that there are people out there (me) who care for them and want them to succeed and do well in life. Lots of kids don't have anyone else to do this for them.
Making sure that kids make good choices and are good people, I think, is more important than teaching them my subject.
