Why is the history section flooded with homework questions?

Does any else find this annoying?

Why don't people use the homework question?

I don't think that 500 homework assignment instructions posted is a miss click. And no I am not Meredith, I am BANDICOOT.

Yes, I agree, it IS terribly annoying.

I especially hate the ones who obviously cut and paste the whole assignment and want you to answer ALL the questions. They act as if it's too much trouble to get an answer for question number one from one person, question number two from another, and so on.

"Compare and contrast" is another one of my least favorites. And the ones who "want an answer fast!! cuz its do tomorow. And list sorses!!!" They want you to write a detailed essay, for which they will take credit! My hope is that they pick the wrong person from whom to copy.

Another pet peeve is the lack of proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar, to the point that you can't tell what they're asking. And then they get annoyed if you point that out.

I have a standard answer:

The reason for homework is not only to teach you facts, it is also to teach you how to research facts. When I try to research something on the internet, I usually start with ask.com, google.com and wikipedia.com. and go from there.

Try asking those questions at the above three sites. You will generally find many links if these sites cannot give you enough information.

This is my standard response to someone obviously asking for homework help on the history answers page. To this I add now, if you want to define a word, go to Google.com and type in "define" and the word you would like defined. Or go to the Education & Reference answers category and choose "Homework Help."

Okay, rant over. Thank you for allowing me to vent.

It's too bad that they're not all as perfect as we are;) It probably is just a mis-click of the mouse!

Sure is! What's more annoying is that they want to cheat by having people do their work for them.
