I really want an iPod. But the problem is that my parents won't let me get one! They think that high school students don't need this kind of stuff and I should pay attention to my studies! But I REALLY want one. How can I convince them to let me get one? I am hardworking and do everything they expect right. But they still won't do it for me.

Any Ideas on how to convice them? Please I really want one!

Don't give them any BS excuses about needing an iPod because "it helps you study" NO NO NO that is the wrong thing to say! You should just remind them that you have been good in school, you bring home good grades, you do everything they expect right & that you feel you should be REWARDED. Let them know that no matter what, YOU ARE PAYING ATTENTION TO YOUR STUDIES & this iPod is NOT going to interfere in your grades what so ever. It's just music & a reward for all the good grades you've gotten, all the hard work you've done at home & in school. You should ask them if they should at least think about it? reconsider their decision & during that time you need to be on your best behavior until they decide to get you one. That means treat them nice, help clean the house, help cook, help with whatever! ask them what needs to be done? hopefully, within time they will buy you one.

GOOD LUCK!

make a deal w/them. offer to pay part of the cost for the ipod, and tell them that if for the first month u're grades dont drop, and u still do ur chores, etc then u can keep the ipod. ,just make sure u keep up w/ur end of the bargin.

Tell them that you're willing to work for one. Tell them that it helps you study when you're listening to music. You don't know why but it does. LOL And tell them that you will clean the house or do chores in your free time to work for paying for it if they'll let you have it. Tell them that you like studying music too. :) Good Luck.

Why don't you get a job and pay for your own iPod? You can babysit, tutor other people, mow the lawn, do extra chores, etc. Besides, it more valuable and more appreciated when you earn it.

Use reverse psychology, tell them that you don't want an iPod
