American Idol is a good show to burn time, but definetly not something worth TiVo-ing. House on the other hand is a really great show with lots of (predictable) plot twists and one that I personally enjoy. Not to mention that Hugh Laurie is a great actor, and if he wasn't, he wouldn't have won that Golden Globe for House. So I'd say no, House is better. Much more engaging, rather than Idol's mindless antics.

No it is not better than House. And I'm getting pretty tired of American "Idle" pushing House out of its time slot all the time. I think I'm going to write a letter to Fox. American Idol is old and tired. Who cares any more about such nonsense?

Battlestar Galactica is the best show on T.V. American Idol is painful to watch. Seriously, besides the assault to my ears, i find it physically painful to see people humiliating themselves. Which is why I can't watch most Jim Carrey movies.

It depends what you like, if you like drama, then you will like house more, but if enjoy comedy, then you will probably like American Idol more.

i never seen house but i think A.I is kinda dum to watch until the part where you get to vote for who u want to stay
