I love Rock, but good complex rock not the pseudo-emo-punk tripe that's popular at the moment... I like bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, some Pink Floyd, Muse (before they got famous), Talking Heads, David Bowie, The Cure, The Tea Party, Faith No More... maybe some of those aren't truly rock but I think they fall under that category loosely.

If I was claiming a particular genre to be "best", then it would be an objective claim, not a statement of an opinion! Now if you were to ask me my FAVORITE genre, that would be a different question.

there is no best genre. there is only music. i prefer neo post soul-hop pink metal funk rock with a twist of bluegrass death emo and scurdle pop. beat that.

tho i do love almost all the genres, rock is my fav, and the best in my opinion!!!! hard rock, pop rock, soft rock, alternative rock, so many different types, and its brought about some the best bands ever!!!!
