Yikes. Ok, here's how it goes for pharmacy school in the US.

First off, pharmacy school is different from medical school. Pharmacy school is for pharmacists (PharmD). Doctors (MD's) go to medical school.

After high school, you've got two basic paths: the accelerated program that lumps your undergrad education and pharm school education into one program, and the traditional bachelors first then pharm school.

Pharmacy school is normally 4 years long. They have year round ones that shorten it to 3 years.

Your undergrad normally takes 4 years. If you get into the accelerated programs (normally, you get into these straight from high school), then they squeeze your undergrad into 2 years. Then you go to pharm school for the normal amount of time.

So, if you went the typical undergrad, then pharm school way, you're looking at 7-8 years.

If you do accelerated, depending on the particulars of the program, you can do it all in 5 (2+3) or 6 (2+4 or 3+3) years.

In the Us, you go to pharmacy school for 5-7 years depending on the school and it's exact program. Some programs are straight through to a PharmD now, and there may still be some that offer a BSPharm. A degree in pharmacy is a professional degree, not a medical degree, and a Doctor of Pharmacy is not a medical doctor.

You don't go to medical school to be a pharmacist. You go to pharmacy school. Most of those programs are 5 years (college)

You don't need med school.

Some schools have a 5 year fast track to be a pharmacist. One suggestion is to learn to spell your future profession...

In order to become a pharmacist, you go to pharmacy school, not medical school.
