Why does LaDainian Tomlinson wear a tinted visor?

Mostly to keep defenders from seeing his eyes, thus maybe knowing which way he's going to cut when running w/the ball, though ostensibly it's for "medical reasons."

Several Reasons. Refelcts out the sun. Keeps people from eye poking him. He has sensitive eyes.
Main reason = He can see better. The visor doesn't shade his vision it enhances it. When you look through one of those visors nothing is darker. Every thing is tinted yellow. He can even see better at night. It makes every thing look more near the same color. He might not need it in certain enviroments but does beacuse he is so used to it that he might throw himself off if he doesn't use it. There are a few on every team that wear them at night.

L.T. is actually subject to sudden seizures from heavy sunlight, and that is the reason he wears a 70% tinted visor. The NFL only allows a 20% tinted visor unless a valid medical reason is provided

wow, I never knew that.

guy above me^ read a couple up, it's said 20% tinted and below is OK (probably what Dawkins and Vick have ---Barry Sanders had a tinted visor too)

He has a sensitivity to light so he wears it. It make him look pretty badass too.

I didnt kno that you had to be allowed to wear one. Do Vick and Dawkins have eye problems too?
