if your using the ariel then you have to tune it in.

There is no other way of doing it

Like the other person said you have to re tune the TV while the N64 is running and depending on the TV's settings i.e. whether it is a manual or automatic tuner you might have to re tune it back for the tv. Why don't you get a scart lead and use that they are not expensive and the connection is the same for every nintendo system or console. The upside is that you get better reception, and there really is no downside

you will need to search for the n64 with manual tune and save it to one of the channels
