There are many possible causes for a bad idle (other than timing which was checked) The ones that I can think up right now include:
1. Idle adjusted too low. (adjust idle up)
2. Fuel filter is clogged so your not getting enough fuel into the system at idle.
3. Clogged EGR valve that is stuck open.
4. MAP sensor is bad.

Sweetie? That poor car needs to be completely replaced as far as the driving parts are concerned. That is one helluva odometer reading. You probably don't have just one thing going on with this car. There sounds to be numerous problems associated with it and to be honest? Those cars are not collectors items. They are everywhere and inexpensive. Get rid of it while it still runs and get yourself another car. Get yourself another Honda because they seem to be very good cars. You are not going to be able to pinpoint the exact problem because there seem to be many. Just my advice.

Peewee is right about that coming to a stop thing. Have your rotors turned and then with the dying out when you do come to a stop could be a computer brain thing too.

Since you just had a timing belt put on I would start by just doing a commpresion test. If any of the valves were damaged you will have much lower compresion on that cyl. If a intake valve is slightly bent damaged or leaking it will cause it to pop out the intake.

Usually on Hondas, if the timing belt breaks while driving, the valves and pistons are damaged. Have your compression tested by a different garage.

It sounds like the car is misfiring.. check the spark plugs, alternator, wires. and if it is still acting like that. Adjust the idle control. and if that still don't work, then check the fuel filter, air filter. and if all this fails, then take your car to a different mechanic... (not to the same mechanic that you recently took your car to)

BRAKE ROTORS NEED TO BE TURNED OR REPLACED. EVEN CHECK THE PADS.
