Happy New Year is "Chuc Mung Nam Moi" because "Tet" is the Lunar New Year. That is a whole different story.
You're welcome!!!

Happy New Year In Vietnamese

"Chuc Mung Nam Moi" is correct. However, some fancier ways to say the same thing , especially in writing is "Cung Chuc Tan Nien" which also means "Best Wishes for the New Year " or "Cung Chuc Tan Xuan" which means "Best Wishes for a New Spring".

Why spring in the middle of winter? The Vietnamese (and Chinese?) believe the official beginning of spring is around the time of the lunar new year, 5 to 7 weeks before the western reckoning.

You really need the diacritical marks (accent marks) they really change the meaning.
each word can have up to 5 completely different meanings depending on the diacritical marks,
which imply spoken intonation (High, Low, High to low, Flat, etc)
Chúc mừng năm mới!
