sequence of the protein, how might you identify the genes expressed in a specific type of brain cells. Identify the gene for the neurotransmitter. And produce multiple copies of the gene for study, and produce a quantity of the neurotransmitter for evaluation as a potential medication.

I'm not sure exactly how to do it, cus i'm a high school student with no real laboratory experience, and i don't know the processes or apparatus real research uses.

If you know the amino acid sequence, then you know the nucleotide sequence in mRNA. You can find an mRNA which codes for the neurotransmitter, and then use reverse transcriptase to form a cDNA. and then using the cDNA you can place transribe further mRNA, and use a ribosome+aminoacyl-tRNA + aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase+amino acids solution to create more proteins,

i dont get it either..but if you call a local university and talk to a professor of chemistry or brain transmissions, im sure they could greatly help in your efforts.
