1. Alternating current not circuit is a current that periodically changes its direction of flow. The 60Hz AC goes back and forth 60 times per second.
2. Direct current does not acclimate.
3. Conductor of electricity allows current to flow from a higher potential to a lower potential.
3. Semi conductors conduct only... you guess it one way. By using silicon as a substrate (Si) and by adding some impurities we introduce free electrons (donors) or create deficiency in electrons called holes. The N-material donates and is negative. Yes, this is why it is called N-material while P-material is positive. You put P and N material together and you got yourself a diode which is a basic semiconductor. To understand how it works youf=have to understand how the depletion layer works.

P=IV
Amperage=I=Power(P)/Voltage (V)
I assume your house is wired for 120V
I=(5x100)/120= 4.17A
I would recommend a min 5 A breaker.

Have fun
