Could be a TON of different of things - drivers, bad ram, programs, viruses.
I just had the same problem with mine, turned out it was bad ram, luckily it was still under warranty so I just exchanged it.
Do a virus scan first. If you're virus free, the problem lies elsewhere.
Depending on your level of computer knowledge, you'll want to try the following. It's not that hard, but if you know a megabyte from a CPU, then you may want to bring it in.
If you're up to it, download and learn the basics of WINdbg (windows debugger). When you crash, your comp produces a dump file that contained all the memory. The winndbg tool can anaylyze this info and point to the culprit, whatever it is.
Here is a VERY helpful page on how to get started

This feels like a deadly disease to me.. Your superb wager is reinstalling homestead windows xp on your device or attempting to get a application to rid this virus out of your workstation. A firewall & virus risk-free practices could be used sooner or later to keep away from those themes.

That is a known virus; I use McAfee--look it up there or on Microsoft & get it fixed/patched immediately.
If that isn't it; call a Dell Tech.

There are a couple of internet worms that do that. Run a virus scan. If that's not the problem then one or more of your hardware is malfunctioning.
