I could care less but if the girl I am with thinks it is important then I treat is as such.

I like it, and I'm saying that as someone whose boyfriend just broke up with her a week ago. Love doesn't have to be about romance, and I don't think of Valentine's day as a reminder of my relationship status or a measure of how much men appreciate/adore me. I take it as a day to be goofy and silly and remind my friends that I love them all for who they are and for being there for me. I get a bunch of the paper Valentines like what you would give out in elementary school and make them out to all my friends. This year I found really awesome Ninja Turtles ones! Any holiday is only going to be as fun as you let it be, and Valentine's Day is a lot of fun for me.

I think it's mostly an exercise in marketing. That being said, I like to have other people exercise the market for me, which makes it a little more important LOL. ;)

Valentines Day is suppose to be special. Even being with the person you love does not mean the day is special. To me it is just another day at work, school or what ever you do in a days time, so basically no it means nothing to me

It's not an important day for me and my spouse. We don't require a specific day to show our affection for one another. But we do use it as an extra excuse to go out and grab a good meal at a nice restaurant.
But mostly I feel its just another marketing tool to milk people of money.

I think its an important day. My ex would never celebrate with me he said it was a gimmick. But I think its romantic. One roman legend about Valentines day (the one I like the best) States that when "Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men -- his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death." We celebrate all sorts of saints why not St. Valentine? Its not about flowers and candy its about being in love and defying anyone who gets in your way.

I think its a very important day. It's a chance for a guy to show his girlfriend just how much she means to him, even though he can do that every day, you can get really creative on valentines day.

Personally, I don't really care about Valentines Day. I love my significant other like I do every day. Valentines day is just another holiday created by hallmark to sell cards/flowers.

It stinks. I'm 21 years old and this will be the 21nd valentines day I have spent alone. I guess I would like it if I actually had someone to share it with.
