How can you consider comparing him with Marino, or even Unitas. He won the ring by just playing sensible, no risk football. In other words, he did an ok job by just making sure the basics were carried out correctly, and on the night that was enough to win. He's an average, fairly good, straight "B" Quarterback, no more or less. He's definitely no all-time great.

Manning was never Marino in the first place. If Marino would have had a team as good as the one Manning had he would have likely got a ring or two as well.

You compare him to nobody but Peyton Manning.......I hate comparisons.........I see each QB as unique in their own way.....I leave the annoying comparisons to the media idiots.......I always thought the Marino thing was stupid.....Marino was a great QB so what if he didn't get a ring....Big deal...Hes a hall of famer......

I think I'd compare him to Elway. I think Elway was tougher and better known for his comeback drives, but they have similarities in the sense that it took both of them several years as superstars before finally winning the big one.

Compare him to other QB's with one ring. That's all he rates so far.
