thats a debate in the social sciences, particulary psychology, its called Freewill v Determinism.....huge debate, personally i think we can control/affect the things closest to us, but as we encouter the wider society, there are too many variables for us to be a factor in our own destiny's

Personally, I believe in a sort of middle ground. I do believe that there is such a thing as having a "destiny," however, i believe that you do have the ability to influence it.
While that may not have made sense, Im going to try to explain. First, I think that there is a ttype of thing that we all have something that we "should" be doing. A...line if youlle have it that you must follow. But, the thing is, you still have the ability to effect it. So its not set in stone, but all the options before you are pre chosen, and are recreated whenever you make another choice.
So, you have options, just nothing you do is completely random.

I'm afraid it is: Predetermination is what it's called. Decisions lead to consequences, which influence future decisions. Unfortunately, the first decisions of our lives was made for us: where we were born. All consequences are therefore tied to that. In fact, we made a couple years of decisions without even know we were making decisions. By the time we realized it, the past consequences, good and bad, influence every other decision we made. We are not in control, but so what! Still do the right thing at all times!

Fixed based on who's perspective? I certainly don't know the future, so its not fixed for me. We all have to choose our own path and human choice is incredibly complex, let alone how other people's decisions affect us.
Its really an academic question. A fun one to debate about, but in essence unanswerable. I believe we have free will. You can believe whatever you wish of course.

Your question might as certainly have been, "Is there unfastened will?" i in my opinion don't be attentive to, yet I also have a hero who i think of became right into a genius and he had a diverse opinion. Benedict Spinoza became right into a fact seeker, and author who wrote approximately God and its residences. in accordance to Spinoza unfastened will is an phantasm. if it is so -- then each little thing we are saying and do and could journey sooner or later might as nicely be predetermined, "fixed and arranged," as you place it. The universe is variety of a humongous billiard table with trillions upon trillions of billiard balls. One ball strikes yet another, which strikes yet another, which impacts the different billiard ball on the table. reason and result, and not something extra suitable than actual collisions between cloth bodies explains all of actuality.

I don't think that life has a destination that is avoidable in a positive of negative way. People must make a real constructive effort to change things for the better sometimes but it can be done.

I believe there may be an intelligence out there that could predict everything that will happen based on his knowledge of things and his understanding of cause and effect. But, Our actions are what determine the outcome, not some pre-designed plan.

Destiny? Abolutely. We're the only society who seems to have a problem with that. But, let's don't forget, like you chose to do everything in life that you do, you help build that destiny as well as confirm it. So if your choices are right, excercising what you know to be the difference between right and wrong your destiny could be good.

Whatever you do will have an effect in your future, you own your future, and you can do with your life and your future whatever you want.
