Here is how my dad taught me to parallel park.
1.Find a space that will accomadate your vehicle,
then...
2.pull along side the vehicle directly in front of the space where you want to park.
3you should be looking at the driver door of the car beside you.
4put the transmission in reverse keeping the wheel straight, start backing up
5when you get to the rear bumper of the car beside you start turning the wheel to the right.
6.as you are backing at this point, start turning the wheel to the left when the front of your vehicle is even with the rear of the front vehicle.

If you do this right, you will be right perfectly at the curb. My dad preach this method to me over and over for hours upon hours. So, I was able to parallel park perfectly from the very first time. Good luck!

Practicing. I am sure that you know plenty of methods how to do it.
The hard part about it are limited space and judging small distances. First I would suggest to practice judging small distances.
Exercise for example by going back and forth between two cart boxes, just to work out your judgment how far you are from the rear and front. Once you have that it is much easier to parallel park in a tight space.
What I also discovered was that once you start backing up and turning front wheels towards the curb , tilt your mirror so you can see your rear tires. When you see your rear tires in the mirror you know how far you are from the curb and when to start straitening front wheels. Hope it helps.

Line up the middle of your car usually by centering the passenger side door with the front car's drivers door, then start reversing into the spot. Cut the wheel all the way right. When you are half in, turn all the way left. Bingo-bango your in like Flint. Or the new Lexis does it for you. Really!

I will not parallel park unless there are two open spaces that way I can drive into the spot instead of truely parallel parking.
