I am a mother. If it was me I would definitely want to know if my child was doing this.Mothers do have high expectations, that is true but they also want ot help you and protect you.Mothers know you make mistakes...They do not think you are perfect....
You seem like you want to change your life.Just wanting to talk to your mother is a good thing.
Your mother will be hurt but she'll recover, she'll go through some hurt but she'll be OK.Mothers are tough. She will be more hurt if you keep it from her and keep on doing it.The longer you are an addict the harder it will be for you to get out of it.So sit her down and get it over with and start your new life.Talk to her..Talk..Talk No letters,no running away.
She'll understand. At the end of the day she will just be proud that you had the courage to seek her help.
Good luck with everything.YOU can stop.

I think that it's great that you are going to ask for help because a lot of people who use drugs don't ask for help.
I'm glad that you are taking steps to get help.
As far as telling your mother, you need to just tell her. Start off by telling her you need help. Of course she is going to be crushed because she is your mother, but she will feel even worse if you don't tell her. Take my word for that.
You are going to need your mother's help, and she will be glad that you came to her for help. She may be angry, sad, and upset with you, but that is because she cares about you, and she is your mother.
Write her a letter, or just tell her. Whichever way you are comfortable doing, you should do. Just make sure that you tell her soon so that you can start getting the help you need.
Stay strong.

you need to tell her rite away, set your pride aside. not seeking helo is only going to make the sitution worse. I'm sure she will be crushed, which mother wouldn't be in a situation as such. Would you rather tell her out of your mouth and later seeking help, or would you like her to find out through a phone call saying you OD? If you continue, you could die, and your mother will be crushed then because she lost a child, and you didn't believe in her to tell....be wise.

sweetie, there is no easy way to tell your mom and no matter how you word it she will be crushed and disappointed. But i dont think that if she loves you soo much she will leave you on your own. She will forgive you, and then she will help you, motherly love. Just know that the best thing you can do for yourelf is respect and love yourself soo much as to quit, and the best thing you can do for your mom is be honest and tell her as soon as possible. Do it sweetie... Good Luck!

Please honey! Try some way to get your Mom to listen to you . It will hurt her a bit and it will also be very hard for you to bring it to her . But after all she is your mother and I am sure she loves you dearly. She will hardly want you to throw your life away as that is exactly what Drugs does.
If you think you cant go to her alone try getting an older member of the family to talk to and you both can get her to listen .
Do it now before its too late .PLEASEEEEEEEEE !!!!

If you want help then your mother would be a lot happier knowing that you understand you have a problem and you are asking for help. When everyone else in the world turns their back to you your mother will always be there. She may be crushed but remember she will help you, forgive you, and always love you.

i understand what you're going thru because i am recovering heroine addict...i am also a mother...i am up there in age and believe me, yes she will be crushed, but if u don't get help now, it will be a long and horrible path..u start out by telling her that u love her and need her help...it's not her fault any of this happened, because believe me us parents always blame ourselves...please talk to her now!!! if u can tell complete strangers about your problem, you certainly can tell a loved one...

My son just finished rehab. I'm proud of him for stcking with it. I was so mad at him I couldn't even look at him. I felt sick to my stomach. I felt like I was going to die when I found out how bad off he was. But yo know what? I got over it and I still love him and I am glad he is in recovery. I feel like I have my son back. Dear, I will be praying for you.

You need to tell your mom...parents love their children no matter what they do. If you mother loves you she will get passed the drug part and do what ever it takes to help you get better.
Good Luck
