I don't think those things are supposed to be separate. It starts with looks, then you make the decision to get to know the personality. Nobody thinks... "Hey check out the ugly person! I bet he/she has a great personality." Also, the more you get to know people the more attractive or less attractive they become to you based on their personality. People have different tastes in what they find attractive. That's what makes it possible for almost all of us to find some lovin' at some point in our lives.

Personality wins.
I've seen physically gorgeous guys lose every bit of their attractive quality by opening their mouths and saying something derogatory about someone they previously liked.
I've seen physically below average guys become instantly attractive because they stood up for a principle or helped someone that needed it.
Personality wins in a big way.

Depends on the woman, if she's shallow then looks are going to be more important. If she's got some substance to her, then personality is likely to be more important. It also depends on you, what type of woman you want and what type you're attracted to. If all you want from a woman is looks, that's what you'll get.

You find out that looks mean absolutely nothing, once you date an ******. It's all about personality, manners, good temperament, and a sense of humor.

When I want to date a guy, I look for a great personality . . . looks are nice too but too me they are irrelevant

Personality. the guy can be drop dead gorgeaus but he may end abusing you or even worse---stick with personality.

there should be a balance between looks and personality because it's extremly rare to find them both in one guy. if you do find it it ussally means he's gay which makes him unavailable anyway
