You can try rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, WD-40 (it comes in a little pen now) or Goof off.

I HAVE THE PERFECT SOLUTION! Get a cotton ball and put a bit of nail polish remover on it, then rub the sticky residue lighty. It will come right off. PLUS it wont damage the colour of the phone in any way! hope that helped!

This is what I usually do because I don't really have anything special for this.

Just grab some paint thinner, or nail polish remover and that stuff will take anything right off.

Though as a warning, watch out because that stuff can take the paint right off too, or the colouring of the surface.

There is a great product on the market called GOO-GONE. It removes the stick residue from things. It also removes crayon and lipstick and other such items from walls, clothing. It's also reasonably priced. You can find it @ the grocery store.

You could also give the MR. CLEAN MAGIC ERASER a try.

Good Luck!

A little bit of WD-40. Just a teeny spot will remove all adhesives, as well as waxes (like crayon). They sell WD-40 pens at the Home Depot and such (I have one), and it works like magic. But make sure to wipe it all off, or you'll have a greasy book.

I use something called 'Tetro' It's a professional cleaning fluid. All I know is it takes off the sticky and won't melt plastic. It will remove rubber worms from plastic.
Otherwise I agree paint thinner or alcohol.

Alcohol will take off almost any glue, and what it won't get WD-40 will take care of. I suggest you use alcohol to get the WD-40 residue off after using it however, because that stuff is really slick.

Lighter fluid. Just put some on a paper towel, and wipe the sticky stuff off.
GOOD LUCK!!

I just heard a handy tip from a friend of mine, and you don't have to run to the store and buy a special cleaning solvent -- all you need is peanut butter!
Here's how...
