First, it's in EVERY library...get a card if you don't have one. Second, the LOC@firstgov.gov (Library of Congress) has SOME material available on line. Most online books are self-published or exercpts.....authors need money to eat too.

I did some searching and found these online. I am not certain of copyright issues, that area is pretty murky because copyrights expire after a certain number of years (123?). Nonetheless, I found this copy online.

If you wish to discuss the text and learn more about it, you can visit this site and join in the discussions as well as ask questions if you do not understand something. It would be very useful if you have to do a report or something.

Finally, you can check with your library online. Many libraries have online databases that offer many of the classics online. Usually you just need to go to the library's website, find the database link and enter your library card number.

Perhaps you can not get to the library or can not purchase it, or, as we often have in our city, all the books in the local libraries are checked out (many school systems use the same curriculum and lesson plans system-wide, thus assigning the same book simultaneously, making it quite difficult to find in libraries). No sweat, you can read it here! Good luck!

There are many websites that have online books. I will include a few links for others who may be seeking other books:
