Magneto vs Sinestro?

Ahh, if only ALL our problems could be solved so easily, by pitting villain against villain! Unfortunately, as long as he has a power ring, I must give this to Sinestro. While Magneto controls one of the basic forces of the universe (electromagnetism), with his power ring, Sinestro is not only able to control that force, but also the others—gravity and the strong and weak nuclear interactive forces.

The first round might go to Magneto, I’ll have to admit, because Sinestro would be unaware of his powers. But seriously, do you think that someone as sneaky and treacherous as Sinestro would not have safeguards in place to protect him from an unexpected first strike? Of course he would! His ring would go on automatically, protecting him from fatal injury (since I don’t see Magneto using less-than-lethal force). Even if Sinestro’s yellow ring didn’t have that feature originally, Sinestro is sly enough to program it in.

(Besides, I don’t think that Korugaran blood has iron-based hemoglobin, so Maggy’s best trick—the mind control via controlling the blood flow to the brain—wouldn’t work.)

Then Sinestro would transport Magneto into deep space via a space warp he would create with his ring. Then he would say to Magneto “You want magnetism, punk? You want magnetism? I’ll give you magnetism!” And he would imprison him on a neutron star, where the gravity is so intense that Magneto could never escape, and the magnetic fields are just as powerful as his own (if not more.) No, he won’t learn how to control them. If Maggy tries to use his powers, the opposing magnetic fields will tear him apart, and he don’t have no healing factor like Wolverine! I don’t care how they upped him lately, he ain’t coming back.

Sinestro would win, by the time Magneto could work up his metal mojo he'd be sliced and diced in a will power generated, yellow energy, non-magnetic food processor.
