Our pipes were frozen in our trailer earlier today. My husband put a salmander kero heater underneath and thawed the main pipe that comes out of the ground. However, now our tiolets are clogged and water is coming up the drain and filling the tub with water... We have runnig water... Does anyone know what is going on?

ice melt, down the toilet if you can get it to plunge down. Look for the small pellet variety about the size of kosher salt. The more you can get to go down the better. It will dissolve. Drain pipes don't normally freeze unless there's another problem with them. ie: has a "belly" in them and they are holding water.

If you have a septic tank, pull the top off of it and look at the depth the main line is coming in it at, you'll have to estimate somewhat but if it's not 2 -3 feet below the ground the problem may be there. Determine which way it runs to the house and cover the ground with bales of straw. If you can't see the tank at all, it's probably deep enough.

If you can find a liquid form of ice melt, that would be even better. I have used the ice melt in the past, it did work however it did take a while. I'm pretty sure they do make a liquid.

Sounds like you sewer a line is frozen. Leaving a water pipe dripping will keep the water line from freezing but can build up ice in your drain pipe. Pour boiling water down your drain to try to melt the ice. Good luck
