Chicago is full of fun things to do in the summer or anytime! Go to a concert in Millenium Park. It's a great new venue and you can sit out in the grass and listen to the show. You should also experience the Cloud Gate sculpture while you're there. For that matter, take the train up to Ravinia for a similar, more suburban twist on the concert in the park idea.

Ever ridden the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier or taken an Architectural boat tour? There are also dinner cruises that take you out on the lake while you party the night away. Chicago has nine lakefront harbors, and I'm sure you could rent a skipper and his boat to have a more personal tour.

The Chicago Park District shows free movies at some of the parks on a regular basis. A whole group of friends could meet there to start the night out. If you're more into sports, you can play or watch volleyball on the beach, ride the lakeshore on bikes or arrange some group tee times at a golf course for you and your friends.

There are loads of ethnic festivals, parades and outdoor gatherings all over Chicago's neighborhoods. A party at a restaurant with an outdoor courtyard could be fun. You could make it Mexican, German, Asian, or pretty much any kind of food.

Into the art scene? Pick a date and find out which neighborhoods or suburbs are putting on their local art fair. The Old Town Art Fair is June 9-10, Rock Around the Block is July 14-15, Art In Tuley Park is August 18.

How about taking the train up to Northwestern University in Evanston and having a picnic out on their lakeshore penninsula? Lunch at a downtown plaza enjoying an "Under the Picasso" event? Betting on the horses at Arlington Park? A tour of downtown while riding on a segway?

So now you have no excuse for finding something to do. Just enjoy your city and have a great birthday!

Well well it is Chicago and it is in the summer so you are in luck. There is always something going on in Millenium park and Navy Pier (take a cruise, i promise you will LOVE IT) and it would also depend on what you want to do (small group? date? bunch of friends? daytime or night time?). My friends and i usually go out to eat (Cheesecake Factory in the John Hancock last year) and then go out and party. If you haven't been on the Sears tower deck then you should go, the view really is amazing. You can go to www.chicagotraveler.com and click on things-to-do and that will give you some more info on things to do in Chitown. Good luck and hope u find something. If you were 21 i would have a lot more options :)
