Okay on his pedigree it is checked that he is a black type horse, i think that it might have to do with his racing or his breed so that is why i brought that stuff up but i dont know.

This is what I found on a Thoroughbred website:
Black-type
Horses finishing first, second and third in a black-type stakes will qualify for bold (black) type in a pedigree. Many sales catalogs have eliminated the use of black-type for stakes below a certain monetary value. If a horse's name appears in bold-face type and in all capital letters, it has won at least one black-type event. If it appears in bold-face type and upper and lower case letters, it ran second or third in at least one black-type event.

Hope this explains things! Great question!

The way this is worded is confusing. "Thoroughbred" is a type of horse. "Black" is just a color, so a thoroughbred can be black, just like almost any other type of horse. "Gelding" means he's been neutered, so you can't breed him.

The only other thing I can think of is that your horse is a cross between a thoroughbred and another type? Maybe morgan or quarter horse?

Hope this is of some help!

What are you talking about? I really don't understand your question and how does "a black type horse" fit into all this? I'm confused

It's based on his racing stakes 1st, 2nd, 3rd. You shouldn't feel stupid bcauz that's a toughy unless your in the racing business.
