What is a hipster?

Seeing more references to them lately, and I must admit I don't really know who they are. Please describe how they dress, hair, etc.

well, i think it's different for every culture, but they're usually always have the latest trends, in hair/music and dress. Always trying to be hip, I think it became popular in the 60's.
