Most county clerks or recorders do not keep a list of homes that are in foreclosure or pre foreclosure. You can always check the legal notices in your papers but keep in mind that there may be more than one paper that prints the notices.
In order to get all of the listings I would suggest a company that provides foreclosure listings. Stay away from the nationwide sites since they tend to be poorly organized and do not contain all of the listings.
Try to find a local service. You will always get the best service from a company that specializes in your area and state.

read your local paper. You can also go to your town hall and get a list there.
