You are right! Blacks always play the race card but when it comes to making fun or talking about whites they think it is okay. I am a black man that is sick and tired of hearing black people say the things that they say. It is appauling to me. A black man can say honkey or cracker but a white man cannot say ****** or spook. Come on....what a double standard. None of it is right!
The real bad thing about it is...I hear alot of black people profess Christ in one sentence and in the next use the word cracker or can you believe a white person did this or that.
People this should not be. We are all human beings with feelings. Just because blacks were under slavery in the past and I stress the word past, does not give them the right to hang it over everyones heads years later.
There is such a thing as "Get over it" especially if you call yourself a man or woman of God...

I agree with Tina S. How many times must this question be asked? Come on ppl, get over it already. ALL race, wether your White, Black, Irish, Chinese, whatever, have some issues. Whites say some F*%^ up things, Blacks say some f^%$ things. All of us know what's right and wrong. Ppl let's move on and stop asking the same stupid question every two weeks. Come come Dar F, you joined today and your already starting Bull Sh*t. Dar F you need to get a life. Are you trying to get points? If so, you're pathetic. And for those who have made negative comments, get a life.

There are double-standards because the media and politicians encourage ethnics and gays to feel perpetually victimised, even though they are not.
According to blacks and self-hating whites, it doesn't matter if your family owned slaves. You're white and that makes you guilty by association. In fact, just by being white, you are somehow oppressing some poor non-white somewhere in the world. They don't care about the plight of the Irish or Poles. Why should they? We white people are the scum of the earth and I'm sure any suffering our people have gone through was deserved.
/sarcasm
Glad more people are waking up to the ridiculous double standards that political correctness has imposed on us, though.

I have also noticed a double standard. My wife is black and Ive noticed that most black people adopt the attitudes of their parents when it comes to racism.
My brother in Law is also black and we are the best of friends. But often he will start droning on about the plight of the black man. Believe me it gets tireing. I think people tend to focus on the pain and suffering that's available to them at the time. Its really a convenient excuse to act like the people you are hating. It just continues the cycle over and over.
Almost every race and culture has been hated, tortured or mistreated in some way. Hell my distant ancestors were German and that doesn't make me a Nazi.
The fact is, if somebody has a hard time in life they wanna place blame on somebody and in the case of the black man. The white man is convenient. So what are you gonna do. Are you gona sit around and feel sorry for yourself. Play the victim? or are you gonna be the first to change.
Its a far braver thing to act in contrary to those like you then it is to do what everyone else is doing.

That's not true at all. There are white comedians who kid black people. We laugh at those jokes too! But if you mean your friend from Seinfeld? He Is A RACIST! You say that you're tired of blacks talking about slavery? Big deal! you can't pretendit didn't happen just by not talking about it. Irish people were indentured servants at one time in America. They were poor too. But they still had white skin which entitles them to things my ancestors couldn't get! And you're talking double standards? Wake Up!

Our society is set up so that white people feel guilty for things they didn't even do. I feel it is fine for anyone to make fun of anyone else for anything. They are just words people, stop giving them so much power.
