there`s a lot of emo wanabes at my school.....and it`s REAL OBVIOUS that they want to be emo......everytime i see them i just want to yank there hair out.....any advice on how i can learn to just ignore them?

And I`m not against emo....heck I am emo.....but not the kind of emo you think. I wear what i want, wether it fits in the "emo style" or not. And I am EMOtional. I do "self-injure" myself, not for attention, because i have personal problems.

If you can't beat them, join them. See what it's like on the inside, instead of hating them for just trying to express a part of themselves you don't perceive you have.
Forget the black clothing and fingernail polish. How about the intellectual part of being emo. Are you against that as well? You might find that their sensitive, intellectual, poetic side appeals to you. An who knows? When you reemerge from the funk you submit yourself to, you may have learned a few things about yourself, and someone else.

Well I think people who want to be emo just want the attention. Emo is not really how people dress emo is when people hurt themselves on purpose. EMO could be just a label for people who dress in black and where just a bit too much eyeliner. So when you see "EMO" kids just try not to think of them that way.

Well, just remember while these people are probaly trying to be "goth" in order to fit in with other groups. Everyone feels sorry for a real emo, they are just looking for attention, ignore them and know that you are better because you must remember they want you to "yank" their hair out for thier attention so the best thing to spite them is to ignore them and deny thier attention

would not emo purely talk with a form of music? would not someone who likes emo music, in spite of ways they offer the effect of being or act, purely be emo likers? Why have they were given to be posers? it truly is stupid. And so is emo.

I can't tell you how to stop hating them for you will have to ask someone who knows you better than I do for that.
I will try my best to tell you how to ignore them.
1) Locate when and where they usually are and avoid those locations
2) Yank their hair out
3) Make friends with one of them and you will get used to them
4) If 3 isn't possible, start getting friendly with people similar to them and slowly get friendly with people who slowly get more similar from the person you started with until you are friends with someone who is an emo wannabe or an emo

Well i don't know a for sure way.... (Im kinda going thru the same thing as you i hate seeing posers) my brother i think is a big emo poser.... i have reasons to think that way of him too!
My brother one minute luvs rap music and is like a wannabe in that way and he will be saying how much he hates emos and their stupid music!and says all they wanna do is kill themselves and thats all they sing about! and about cutting(which offends me cuz i luv music not just any music i luv emo music and thats not what emo music is totally about! and not all emos cut!) and then he will talk about how emo guys are gay cuz they wear tight pants and sum timres girl pants! (well i think they are hot!)
but then my brother will totally flip and start dressing emo (he takes my pants and wears them! so there he is wearing girl pants!!!) and he will start listening to all the emo bands i like that he once called gay and stupid for being emo! and then he will totally flip again and start acting like a wannabe rapper guy and stuff!
Well everyone keeps telling me to just ignore them and ya that doesn't work! So i don't know.... really how to make it stop bothering you... like how to stop hating them.... i guess just know you are not one of them...(if you are truly emo or us just hate that people try to be emos) but ya idk i am sorry i cant really help you cuz im trying to figure out how not to hate my own brother for being the biggest poser on earth with out stopping talking to him!!! so i hope you find a way to help yourself not hate poser.... but see you wouldn't have a problem if there wasn't no posers in this world! lol.

Just forget about them and focus on your self. Just make fun of them or talk $h*t to them. I dont like emo people at all. But I dont get bothered by them at all. Emo = overrated

Just ignore them, like Goths before them, this too shall pass. Seriously, when people have to become poseurs it is sad, but teenagers are by nature insecure. So just be a little more tolerant, they will come to their senses soon. Peace.
