Super glue is acetone based. The reaction that makes super glue stick is triggered when the acetone evaporates. But if there is nowhere for it to evaporate, then it will not stick to the inside of the tube. That is, unless there is a break in the tube and the acetone evaporates SLOWLY. So instead of sticking it becomes one big glob of super glue surrounded by a tube-shaped piece of tin.

The stuff sold as Superglue is cyanoacrylate. (Anything with that many Ys in it must be good stuff!) It can be used on metal and provides an instant strong bond. However, the bond weakens after a few days. Many metals (especially aluminium) have an oxide layer. The glue will stick to this, but the oxide will peel off the metal. If you want to stick a decorative metal star onto your filing cabinet, cyanoacrylate is ideal. If you want to mend a broken strut on your steel staircase, you need a different approach.

Probably because it needs to be exposed to the air to work and cant do that inside a sealed tube.

The inside of the tube is free from all moisture, therefore the bond is never formed.

maybe the tube is in zee` brain?

so what we have to do is open the skull,

using the Screw Top, Zip Lock Brain Surgery... . originating from Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr... .

Superglue should now help your tube be fixed in its original position, oh btw, please use a mirror as you could end up becoming left foot `v` right hand or right foot `v` left hand a mixy upasis.. .

Super glue is a monomer that is liquid until it polymerizes in the presence of humidity. There is no humidity in the bottle, so it remains liquid and does not stick. But if you wait too long and have an old bottle of super glue, the content might polymerize on its own, and you have a blob of clear and brittle plastic.

Superglue (Cyanoacrylic) drys in the presence of water! (or water in the air)

It was invented for gluing wounds together in Vietnam.

It can cure off in the tube, because they need air to cure off and some air can get in sometimes.

Because there is no air in the tube - that is why it sets - when it meets the air.
