If you are expecting to walk in the door in a management role making gobs of cash you will very likely continue to be disappointed. Try applying to a company you want to work for and offer to work your way up - they will be impressed with your drive.

These answers are from some other planet!! I know what you mean; I had worked maintenance guy for years, I've been unemployed for two years now and would work for $1 an hour if any company were willing to ignote minimum wage! You people answering have lotsa education and can probably still do physical work quickly, but there comes a time when the body slows down!

Well you have taken the first step in looking for your first job in applying for 30 jobs. Now take the next step and follow up (phone call or go to the company) and let them know you are truely interested in the position and just follow up on your resume / application. Companies get a lot of resumes, so you need to try and stand out from the crowd, especially with no past experience.

I've hired lots of people into entry level jobs and I look for job experience and internships while in college. Everybody's got the degree, you've got to do something to stand out and get chosen. Chances are, you are applying for jobs that require more work experience than you have. I've seen lots of people right out of college who think they can get something above an entry level job because of a degree - but bachelor's degrees are a dime a dozen. I've known people to take receptionist jobs to get into the company they want and then once they prove themselves as good employees, they get promoted once a position opens. That might be your problem.

Also make sure your resume looks professional, practice your interviewing skills with a job coach and dress and act professionally at job interviews. Have questions to ask them about the job and thank them after the interview. And send a thank you letter right after the interview. All of these things will help you stand out.

If you graduated then why don't you go to your career center at the college. I know where I attend school there is a career center and they can help you look for a job. Try going to career fairs and have your resume professionally done.
Good Luck!
