To answer your question, morning sickness can start anywhere from 4-6 weeks, and generally lasts up until about 12 weeks.

However, alot of women who are pregnant for the first time often find their morning sickness lasts alot longer then people who are having their second or third babies.

Also, morning sickness is not nessecarily always in the morning. It can last all day, or mainly be in the night, or all over the place! It just depends on your pregnancy as to what you will experience.

With my pregnancy I started to feel queasy at first, and then around 6 weeks the vomiting started. It lasted right up until around 29 weeks, and after this I mainly just felt queasy until the baby came. I also found my morning sickness got better as time went on, though in the beginning I was vomiting all day everyday. After this it was mainly in the morning, and for the rest of the day I just had to avoid foods or smells that made me feel sick.

If you want anymore info I have some tips about things that worked well when I was trying to alleviate my morning sickness that might help you if you find yourself in a similar situation.

Hope this helps!

This is a hard question to answer, exactly. Every pregnancy is different, not only from one woman to the next, but also in the same woman in different pregnancies. I started getting sick with my son before I knew I even knew I was pregnant, but never in the mornings, only if I ate after 5 or 6 in the evening. Morning sickness is called that, but does not necessarily mean it will happen in the mornings. Some are sick all the time throughout pregnancy and some not at all. But trust me, "morning sickness" will definitely be different than any other time that you have been sick....feels more like you are on the world's fastest roller coaster and then suddenly you got off of it and you are fine. This is a real mystery in medicine.

The term "morning sickness" is a misnomer. It's more like "morning, noon and night sickness"!

With my last three pregnancies, my morning sickness has started on the same day I noticed implantation bleeding. That's happened at about 3 weeks pregnancy.

Also, there is no "typical" when it comes to pregnancy. While one woman may have a laundry list of signs and symptoms, another woman may have nothing but a missed period to say that she's pregnant. If you're not having morning sickness, or you're having it differently than other women you know or have heard about, it's nothing to be worried over.

HTH.

morning sickness can happen any time of the day.

it can start as early as 2 weeks after conception (not after sex, sex and conception are two different things) but it will usually start between weeks 2-8 but polls and studies have showed that most woman experience it first around week 6 but it is different with every woman and their pregnancies. Some woman never even get morning sickness.

With our youngest child my wife had morning sickness from about 6 weeks until 2 days before the birth.

For her it was the longest pregnancy in the world.

The bad news is that morning sickness can hit at any time of day.

Usually at about 8 weeks. I am 4 weeks right now and am not feeling anything yet. But with my other two pregnancies I had it at 8 weeks and it lasted all day until I gave birth. It was really hard but there is medication out there so that if you have to go somewhere you will be safe but your not supposed to take unless you really have to. Everyone is completely different some people only get a little nauseated (occasionally) Hopefully that will be you and not have to have it all day. Good Luck!

Morning sickness usually starts at around 8 weeks of pregnancy, and it can be at any time of the day. Its just most common for it to start when you wake up until you get food in you and such, where it may go away, but usually you can be naseated on and off all day. Smells will affect you very easily..
