Well you don't mention if you have keyless entry, or even a remote fob for this car, so seems to me some of these answers wouldn't help. The sure-fire way to test a factory alarm, is to roll down a window, then lock the car (elec door switch, fob, or close door and turn the key) wait a full minute, then reach in and open the door from the inside. This simulates a broken window, since most factory systems don't have a motion or shock sensor. If you have an alarm and this sets it off, you can turn it off by turning the key in the door lock.

Break in to it. If it goes off then there's your answer.
Just kidding. I didn't know my truck had an alarm until I did something where I locked the door with the keyless remote and then opened it from the inside. But there is a little red light just under my stereo that flashes after I lock up my truck.
Or read the manual. If it does have an alarm the manual will tell you where to look for it.

Not sure if this will help much but most cars out there, have after market security etc in them...a way u might be able to check is looking underneath the drivers side steering column....there might be a small box usually like 2-3 inches long that is hardwired onto other wires. Usually that can be a security system or remote start system. Another is if your car has a blinking red light somewhere visible on your dash. A third might be is if you detach the negative wire on ur battery some cars might trigger to go off...or so I've seen it the past.

well i have run into the same problem before what i would do is look in the owner's manual and see if you can find anything about it. or if you have a remote keyless entry you could sit in the car push the lock button and watch for a red light on the dash or around the gauges. if that doesn't work do the same thing as before but wait about 60 seconds and open the door if nothing happens you more than likely do not have one.

Look under the hood, If you have an alarm there should be a small siren mounted under there.
If it has one you should have a remote for it.
