Blockbuster verses Netflix?

Question

Who do you think is better and why? Personally I have both and also have my opinions.

Blockbuster is better for now.

I initially subscribed to Netflix, however the advertisement of one business day delivery was not true. There were also many times where the disc was not playable or the movie froze up during certain parts. I switched to blockbuster and if there is any problem with a CD I can quickly return to a store for a new movie at the same time the next movie on my list has shipped the next day.

The only problem with blockbuster is I have more movies than i can watch. Netflix has advertised they will have movie download capabilities, however I don't think most people are up to date with fast download capabilities and big enough monitors to truly enjoy a movie. I'd rather watch my movies on a comfortable couch on my big screen TV with good quality and sound system. Sometimes the extra bonus features are cool too and probably couldn't get from a download.

I was a member of both and I'd have to say that blockbuster is best because with Netflix you have to wait on the whole mailing process. When you use blockbuster you can just take the movie back to the store and get a different one if you want to. And there's usually a blockbuster not too far away.

Ive had Netflix for years and tried Blockbuster. I went to return a movie to a Blockbuster store and they couldn't find my account info. They said memberships get deleted if unused for 2 months.
Blockbuster may be good if you have time to return movies. The return address for Netflix and Blockbuster was the same post office just different P.O boxes, so same mail time. Go with NETFLIX more movies.

Well personally I favor Blockbuster just a little more, I think they have the edge, with a great customer service, also I just don't really like Netflix's format, and they are just okay to me. Blockbuster also has a stpre where you can get everything, and buy a lot of movies, so I personally think Blockbuster has the edge not including their store, but thats a bonus!

If the mail location for either is closer to you than the other, then I would go with the one that is closer and doesn't take as many days in the mail.

For example, if Blockbuster only takes one mail day to get to you but Netflix takes two days, go with Blockbuster.

Also, Blockbuster has the in-store exchange program now (which I use each week) where you can bring your DVD & envelope in and exchange them for rentals from the store and they ship your next movies in your queue the next day usually.

I had netflix which I liked but I found out I like Blockbuster better
as I can return my online DVDs to a blockbuster store
see whats out there (in the store and either rent them there
or gets ideas to place on my queue,
thats how I found out about a wonderful movie
Mozart and the whale.. (I found it on the shelf at my local blockbuster
if I still had netlfix I wouldn't have never know about it!

I like Blockbuster better, only because you can bring the movies back to the store if you want and get new ones right away

I have both as well. Netflix has a bigger selection and tends to turn my discs around faster. However, I like that you can turn your Blockbuster discs in the store and the free in-store rentals are a nice added bonus

Blockbuster is definitely better than Netflix now that you can return the dvd's that are sent to you in the mail to the store and have free rentals in store while they are sending you more in the mail. Also, they have one free game rental per month.
