I recieved 2 checks. How will I know if they are fraudulent?

I have recived 2 checks in the mail in the past week from a SUNTRUST BANK in the US. I am a canadian. Thye are for alot of money each. They say they are for Refunds and rebates. How do I know if they are fraudulent, and how can i cash them without getting in any trouble. Has anyone cashed checks they have recieved in the mail> or by courier?

I would say take them to our bank but DONT deposit. They might be able to tell if they are real or not. Try to trace where they came from and see if they are legit

Go to your bank and cash them. Wait ten days before spending any of this $$... In ten days you will know if the checks have cleared or not.
