I am 17 years old and have only been sexually active for about 1 month. My breasts had been tender for about a week before i got my period, and on the first day of my period i started taking birth control. Does this mean that i am pregnant?

no you are not. you have tender boobs because of the hormone changed your body is going through because of the birth control and for the guy who called you a ****..I was having sex at 15 years old and went on birth control and now I am almost 21 married to a wonderful hubby and trying for a baby...you will prob have hormonal issure for the next few months until your body gets used to the pill..but you should still wear condoms....better safe then being that 1% ya know :)

Honestly I don't know if you are pregnant but it is very normal for your breast to get tender before your period. Birthcontrol can also differ things and make you feel very different and make you feel pregnant. Even mess up your period. I had this happen and it messed up my period for months. There is always that chance that you are pregnant though. Take a test or go to the dr and get a blood test done. That is the best way to know.Also remember birth control takes awhile to work and don't always depend on it.
By the way you are not a **** if you dont sleep around. ( i noticed that someone else posted that.)

i don't agree with that one user. many people today are sexually active at a young age...you probably were too!
anyways, i would do a hpt and stop taking your birth control and refrain from having sex anymore. if you aren't prego then i would consider yourself lucky and wait till you have been cleared by a doc if there is any doubt of the hpt then take your birth control and make sure if you are on the pill he's protected! good luck!

There is NO WAY anyone on this website can help you find out if you are pregnant.
You absolutely could be since you have been sexually active. How long you have been sexually active is totally irrellivant.
The most important thing is to talk to your parents so they can help you, and take a pregnancy test.

I doubt it. If you got your period, you're more than likely not pregnant. If you were pregnant, taking birth control will harm the baby. You should get a test.

nope, you just became sexually active, your body is going through a lot of changes... you should have gotten checked for that before getting on birth Control....
