i saw gerald green dunk in high school and he was sick so im picking him. i think its a mistake to have dwight howard in the contest because hes so tall and he is a power dunker. nate robinson will look good even if he isnt just because he is short. tyrus thomas is gonna be interesting. hes tall but he is creative also so he will be my dark horse.

Gerald Green. You can already pencil him in as the winner. The guy is freakishly athletic beyond belief. He showed no mercy in the high school slam dunk competition and won that hands down. He later left people in awe in the high school all star game with the bball between the legs dunk. During the Vegas summer league he flew and dunked on some tall center. Last year he made nba.com's best dunk with Allen tossing it off the backboard and he caught it for a windmill dunk. Its one thing to control the basketball and performing the windmill, but to catch the ball in air and perform the windmill is just absurd! According to Tony Allen, he's performed dunks during practice that would involve the Celtic banners up top. Green has already said he's got a dunk planned out that would possibly incorporate Paul Pierce being in there and Tony Allen says Green has a dunk that could possibly rate in the top 10 in HISTORY! Just give the trophy to him now.

First off, Nate Robinson didn't deserve it last year and Andre Iguodala was 10X better. I don't care how short he is, this contest is about ORIGINALITY and quality, and Andre Iguodala had both while Nate Robinson did dunks that have been done by highschool players with wayyy more quality than Nate Robinson. IMO, the judges let him have it because he's promoted better than Iguodala is. The judges decided that Nate Robinson was gonna win it before the dunking even took place!

I really can't even predict whose gonna win it because there aren't many fimiliar faces.

And I agree, Dwight Howard shouldn't have entered because he's too tall and we'll end up having the same thing that happened when Chris Anderson entered the contest in 2001: A one and done competitor who only does power dunks that we can see in any regular game.

The problem with the question is as time passes more difficult dunks get thought of. When I was a kid Dr. J was teh coolest dunk I had ever seen, but then spud webb, Wilkins, did amazing dunks, then Jordan comes along and Superman Dwight Howard does things that Dr. J and those guys never even thought of. As training gets better more guys will do more amazing dunks.

Gerald Green will win the dunk comp cause he is the best dunker there. I also think that he will have some originality too.he will jump the highest and farthest and is entertaining too. Also I think he is the favourite. Him and Robinson.

Gerald Green. I heard that he was sick in high school. Ever since the draft, I believed that he would be the next big thing in the NBA. I still believe that he'll take over for the Celtics after Pierce leaves. i want to see him win and finally get the respect that he deserves.

Who cares? The dunk contest has lost what made it so special for years. There's no more originality. I mean, you can only come up with so many ways to slam dunk the ball, and we've seen everything there is to be done. Plus, the stars don't participate anymore, it just bench players and rookies trying to put their name in the sports section the next day

Anyone that is below six feet and can dunk should be a little hyped up. He should win it all, he is using his athleticism, not just height.
