Can anybody tell me what these cards represent in a dream that I had. I only remember a few of the cards. They where from the Rider-Waite tarot deck. The cards were laid in a celtic cross. The few cards I do remember were The Three of Swords, The Chariot, The Queen of Swords, The Nine Of Swords, and Justice. I dont remember what positions the cards were in.

The first thing I notice is the prevalence of swords. Swords relate to thoughts, ideas, strife. Now is not a time to get emotional when trying to make important decisions. Head over heart is what is called for. It's very had to say exactly without knowing the positions of the cards and the Celtic cross is a big spread. But here are some basics:

3 of Swords: 3 swords pierce a heart against a stormy backdrop, so with this one the meaning is very clear. This indicates heartache, pain, and stormy waters for the emotions. A loss, a break-up, the end of a friendship, something that is going to hurt. Based on the position this could either be what you're facing now or something that you're getting over.

The Chariot: I've always thought of this card as "all systems go". It's moving ahead rapidly and going in the right direction. You've got what it takes to succeed and to get over the obstacles in your path.

The Queen of Swords: The queen of swords represents a woman who has been through heartache and who has come out on top. Perhaps a little cold or a little jaded, but definitely stronger. She can be one who has gone through divorce, one who has lost a child, or just recently faced depression in some manner. She is no nonsense with a quick sarcastic wit. She may also represent a female boss.

The Nine of Swords: Often called "the nightmare card" indicates depression, anxiety, and generally spinning one's wheels. There may be a situation that you're faced with and you have no idea what to do to make it better. You may be experiencing sleepless nights and turbulent dreams. On the upside, often this card is a wake up call. Sometimes it's trying to say "you're worrying yourself sick, cut it out."

Justice: This card indicates harmony and satisfaction. The outcome will be just and fair. The right thing has been done, or will be done. It can also sometimes literally point to legal matters, trials, and contracts, etc.

Without knowing the order of the cards it would be impossible to give you anything close to a fair reading. But those particular cards do not, of themselves, indicate anything unpleasant. The Three of Swords can indicate some unhappiness, but if it were reversed, it could be just the opposite. I would not worry about the dream. If the cards reappear, try to write down how they were placed, including whether or not they were reversed.
