Every time I plug my iPod into the computer it lists a play count for each song. What is that? It seems that the iPod is playing the same core of songs over and over but I made sure they were only loaded in once- does play count mean the number of repitions I WANT to hear the songs? If so- how do I get every song back to zero so that it plays more random songs?

All that the play count means is how many times you have played it on your iTunes, thats all, nothing to worry about.

Play count is the number of times that the song has been played on both your computer and your ipod. If you choose to listen to those songs more than others, then the play count will be reasonably high. This does sync back and forth between your computer and ipod, so it will always be reasonably accurate. And don't worry - they are not on there more than once!

The play-count is how many times the song has been played until the very end. So the songs that have the highest number are the songs that you have heard the most. In order for a song to be counted - you must make sure it gets to the very end of the song.

Under settings you can re-set your playcount if you'd like.

Play count is how many times you've played the song, both in iTunes and on your iPod (the iPod numbers update when you plug the iPod into your computer). I don't know of any way to clear your play count, unfortunately :-/

Play Count is the amount of times that you have played that song on itunes or your ipod.
Those certain songs are probably playing over and over because your probably playing the songs from recently added on your ipod or you could have those songs in the playlist on-the-go so make sure you are playing the songs from the right spot on your ipod.
